So sad that the once great writer and vocalist has now departed. The x factor that was his and his alone gone. A tired rendition of a very predictable melody and a vocal with no charm. I so miss the 70's Elton.

I don't have issues with Elton's personal life, it's all good, but this song is insulting to people 10-15 years older than he is. I'd like to polish off and dust off several friends, but they all died, we grieved, we recovered (most of us, at least). And of all of Elton's songs, this is the most tortured melody, the lyrics don't fit, and it just smells like it's money in the bank, there's no integrity here. It doesn't fit the circumstance.

elton should work with patrick leonard again…sound wise leonard's work on songs from the west coast far surpasses the sounds t bone burnett gets….burnett is the wrong producer for elton…
