  1. I didn't know about the album, here in Brazil. I'll run to buy it right now. (About the video, why Elton John's voice volume is so extremely low? I had to increase the volume to the maximum to listen to what he was saying, and when the sound of the tracks came up, I had to as fast as I could put the volume down again. Up, down, up, down…)

  2. I love you Elton & Bernie Taupin, but your last few albums are just the same as anything else you've recorded recently I know you won't get heard on Radio or have anymore big hit's! Stop being  so fucking miserable, i thought this was the happiest time of your life?

  3. Hey Elton. I have the album you had out called "The Diving Board" on 180 Gram Vinyl which sounds absolutely beautiful on my 1980's turntable. I actually bought it off of ebay. It didn't come with a download card. Is there any possible way for me to get just the download card of that same album? If so, where can I get one from? Please let me know either way. Thank you! 🙂

  4. I just recently bought The Diving Board (Deluxe Edition). I love it! I could do without the bonus tracks. I've always felt that if someone wants the songs on the cd, they should be included, but why add more songs after the fact? Otherwise, I think it's an awesome cd!

  5. Friend loaned me this cd and said you have GOT to listen to this. Thought I'd throw it on while I fixed dinner this evening. Had to shut off the stove and sit down at the kitchen table to listen. Home Again made me cry! Am downloading my own copy…..I promise!

  6. Mainly I believe it's Because T Bone Burnett is the producer, and he and Elton were looking for a certain sound. For example, Jack Ashford's tambourine has a certain sound and he was called upon to play it in several songs. During recording of The Union, sessions players were also used. It's noteworthy too that back in the early days, Elton's albums feature sessions musicians.

  7. The new album is brilliant. The piano is unbelievable. So many different styles coming together. I've been a fan for 42 years. Elton should do whatever he wants. He knows what makes him happy and I'm happy to listen!

  8. Jesus said "So it will be at the end of the age,the angels will come forth and take out the wicked from among the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire,in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."Matthew 13:49-50.Jesus also said "You are my friends if you do what I command you." John 15:14. Jesus taught that the only way to be saved is to choose him as your Lord and Master, repent and believe that he died for the sins of his people on the cross see John 14:6

  9. I'M AN ELTON JOHN FAN SINCE 1974 AND I HAVE ALL HIS ALBUMS
I MUST SAY THAT " THE DIVING BOARD " IS CERTAINLY ONE OF HIS BEST ALBUM FOR YEARS
THE UNION WAS EXCELLENT BUT THE DIVING BOARD IS A MASTERPIECE AND REMINDS ME OF A MIXTURE BETWEEN TUNBLEWEED CONNECTION AND BLUE MOVES
I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH AND I LOVE EJ MORE THAN EVER BECAUSE HE'S THE BEST PIANO PLAYER IN POP MUSIC
GREAT JOB SIR AND THANKS FOR YOUR FANS
I HOPE THE SALES OF THE DIVING BOARD WILL BE HUGE

  10. That's right, he should make the music he wants, not be caught up in commercialism or try to compete with younger stars today when he's not gonna be played on many radio stations, however good his music. Can't Stay Alone Tonight may be the most catchy, radio-friendly track; it's very warm and pleasing but still not smash hit material .

  11. And you're right, no catch 'radio' pop here; however, at 66, 31 studio albums later, I'd be like "fuck 'em, I'm going to do what I want to do- make the music I want to make." At this point in his career, what does Elton have to lose- nothing.

  12. Also love this album so much, my favourite one, can't stop listening to it. Could listen to every single song for hours, well actually did it with Voyeur:) Thank you, Elton, for another brilliant album full of timeless songs!!

  13. I love it too, for me one of his top 4, with Captain Fantastic, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Tumbleweed. Not a commercial album full of instant catchy pop though
